Mika Schaeffer

Mika was born in Luxemburg in 1999. From early age on, he discovered his passion for sports. At the age of 6 he started to practice a lot of different sports, but ultimately stuck to playing basketball.

His passion for sports grew even further as he discovered the art of motion: Parkour. After practicing Parkour and Basketball for a long time, he decided to focus on developing his Parkour and Freerunning skills. Starting from practicing flips on a trampoline up to jumping around in the city, he practiced hard for a long time to reach a mastery of all kinds of different movements.

Later, he discovered his passion to teach others. May that be in the form of workshops, events or simply by training together, he is always happy to help people overcome their fears and acquiring new skills .

About Parkour

“It is not about being better than anybody else. It never was. It is about sharing knowledge, helping each other and being the best version of yourself.”

Being a parkour athlete means much more than just practicing an urban sport. It means seeing the environment differently, like it was a huge playground with new things to explore every day. It is about finding joy in the smallest of things, overcoming fears and (often mental) challenges. It is about being the best version of oneself, but also about helping others when they want to learn something new. It is about seeing what the human body is capable of, and how these capabilities can be expanded progressively with every new challenge conquered and every new goal set. It is a way of life.
